Games People Play was founded in 1983 at Oak Park Mall in Austin, starting as a sporting goods store before expanding into screen printing in 1985 and on-site embroidery in 1994. In 1996, the company moved to its current location at 701 18th Ave NW, just east of HyVee, where it continues to operate today.
