Games People Play
Meet Our President
Meet our president who makes it all possible.

Lance Pogones
Founder and President
Games People Play founder and President Lance Pogones learned early that traditional employment was not for him. In fact, the only two jobs he held working for someone else both ended with him being let go.
With encouragement from his father, Ronald Pogones, and his favorite college professor, Dr. Henry Okleshen, Lance embraced entrepreneurship and the idea of creating a job he truly loved. That encouragement led him and his partners to start Games People Play in 1983. Work has always been a passion for Lance, and his faith played a key role in guiding that vision into reality.
A fear of flying pushed Lance to earn his pilot’s license in 1999, and he has been flying ever since. When he is not in the air, you might find him in the woods with a chainsaw. Lance and his wife Snow have been married since 1984 and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. And if he is in Austin on a Friday afternoon, chances are he will be at Dusty’s with friends and coworkers.
Corey Anderson
General Manager
Corey Anderson joined Games People Play in 1993 as a full-time retail clerk and quickly advanced into the store manager role. Over the years, he has continued to take on additional responsibilities and now plays a key role in invoicing and ordering for all screen printed and embroidered jobs, handling customer service needs, and overseeing the sales team. Corey also remains active in sales, continuing to serve longtime customers while building relationships with new ones.
Outside of work, Corey has served on the Austin Youth Soccer Board for the past 12 years, including 10 years as President. He is a proud father of three children, all of whom have been part of the GPP work family at different times. Corey’s passion is coaching soccer, from summer leagues to his role as a high school coach for the Austin Packers. He approaches everything he does with dedication and integrity, always putting the customer first.
