Games People Play opened in Oak Park Mall in Austin on July 17, 1983. The business was started by Lance and Snow Pogones, Ron and Nadine Pogones, Jon Olson and LuAnn Rypka. Games People Play focused on sporting goods initially, then in 1985, screen printing services were added along with a new partner, Steve Pfiefer. Games People Play expanded again in 1994 with the addition of on site embroidery services. Then, on a cold day in January 1996, a move was made to 701 18th Ave NW in Austin to a newly remodeled building just east of HyVee which remains the headquarters of Games People Play today. We invest in our employees, many have been with us for 20+ years which makes us more of a "family" than just a group of people working together. Because for us, business is personal - from the people we employ, to the shirts we print, every decision is made with you, our customer in mind.
